Elite DMC: Fall Events in Florida (Orlando, Naples, Miami)
Florida isn’t at the top of everyone’s list for Fall destinations, but there is serious fun to be had in the southernmost state. Our beachy palms don’t change colors like hardwood trees and though it cools off, the heat never truly leaves our shores. But while we (luckily) get beach weather year around, here are some great reasons why Florida destinations Naples, Orlando, and Miami should catch your eye this change of season:
Orlando
In October the Orlando metro area really begins to spring to life with fall events. Check out the Winter Park Fall Art Festival on October 12-13, to bring a little fall color into your life. The family friendly festival that exclusively hosts Floridian artists is described as a “community-oriented sidewalk show presents quality visual art and live entertainment the whole family can enjoy.” It takes place along the historic Park Avenue in downtown Winter Park.

The following weekend, the community of Ocoee hosts their 26th Annual Founder’s Day Festival. Running for over a quarter of a century, this event has evolved and shouldn’t be missed! In addition to free general admission for an impressive list of musical acts (headliner: Los Lonely Boys), the festival also boasts fishing, poker and golf tournaments- as well as a 5k sponsored by Chick-Fil-A, a Classic Car Show and kids activities. This fall festival has something for everyone!

The big parks of Orlando area always offer fall holiday decor and events, so as expected you can get the full Halloween experience at Universal Studios or DisneyWorld. In addition, the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival runs from the end of this month (August 29) through Thanksgiving (November 23). With so much to do, don’t wait to plan your fall trip to Orlando! Naples
The Naples area will not disappoint for happenings this fall either- several great festivals and events will pop up including the ones we’ve listed here:
Naples International Film Festival is as big as it sounds, with the kick-off party and opening film night on October 24, 2019. This four day event includes a red carpet and over 60 screenings of domestic and foreign films. If film-making has your heart, this isn’t a fall event that you want to miss!

The Brew-Ha Ha at Mercato in Naples, Florida begins at 5 p.m. on October 19, 2019. General admission gets you unlimited samplings of craft beers- Florida breweries emphasized. Splurge a little for V.I.P. admission to get earlier entrance (4 p.m.).

Miami
Miami is full of life and vibrancy, anytime of the year. However, there’s some fun events you can attend here this fall, no sweaters necessary. From October 22 through the 26th, the South Beach Seafood Festival celebrates its 11th year! The near week-long event includes nightly culinary events- with 20 of South Florida’s BEST seafood restaurants selected to prepare food, this is a MUST ATTEND for any and all “seafoodies”.

Is music and partying (on and off the beach) in Miami your thing? Then Miami Beach Pop Festival probably has something for you! With artists such as Chance the Rapper, Kygo, Daddy Yankee, Sean Paul, T-Pain, The Roots (and so many more!), this event will be epic! Running from November 8-10th, this late fall festival gives the music lover something exciting to plan for!
